J&K Higher Education Department Invites Applications for Academic Arrangement in Degree Colleges 2026-27
SRINAGAR: The Directorate of Colleges, Higher Education Department, Jammu and Kashmir, has invited online applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Lecturers, Teaching Assistants, Physical Fitness Instructors (PFIs) and Librarians on a need-based academic arrangement basis in Degree Colleges across the Union Territory for the academic session 2026-27.

According to the official notification, the online application portal will open on July 10, 2026, at 9:00 AM and candidates can submit their applications till July 15, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. No physical applications will be accepted.

The engagement process will cover various subjects including:
- English
- Urdu
- Kashmiri
- Arabic
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Botany
- Zoology
- Computer Applications
- Commerce
- Economics
- Education
- History
- Geography
- Political Science
- Sociology
- Psychology
- Library Sciences
and other listed subjects.
Eligibility Criteria
For Lecturer / Librarian / PFI posts, candidates must have:
- Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates)
- Along with NET/SET/SLET or Ph.D. qualification.
For Teaching Assistant posts, candidates must possess:
- Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay an online application fee of ₹200 through the integrated payment gateway.
Documents Required
Fresh applicants have to upload documents including:
- Recent photograph
- Domicile certificate
- Date of birth certificate
- Aadhaar card
- Category/disability certificate (if applicable)
- Graduation and Post-Graduation marks certificates
- NET/SLET/SET/JRF certificate (if applicable)
- M.Phil/Ph.D certificates
- Experience certificates
Age Limit
Applicants must be domiciles of Jammu and Kashmir and should be below 60 years of age at the time of publication of the advertisement notification.
