J&K Govt Approves Promotion and Regularization of Law Officers
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an important order regarding the promotion and regularization of officials in the Legal (Subordinate) Service. The order was released by the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs from the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar/Jammu.

According to Government Order No. 3759-JK(LD) of 2026, dated March 20, 2026, several in-charge Associate Law Officers and Assistant Law Officers have been officially promoted and regularized as Associate Law Officers.
The decision was made following recommendations by the Departmental Promotion Committee. These officials have now been placed in Pay Level-6E (₹35,900 – ₹1,13,500) on a regular basis.
Effective Date of Regularization
As per the order, the promotion and regularization of the listed officials will be effective from March 6, 2025. In one case, the regularization is notional from the same date with immediate effect.
