J&K Police Transfer 16 Inspectors to ACB, Check Full List of Officers

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have transferred 16 Inspectors to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) with immediate effect, as per an order issued by Police Headquarters on October 3, 2026.

The transfers have been made in the interest of administration and were approved by the Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Police Headquarters Order No. 2798 of 2026, dated October 3, eight Inspectors have been transferred directly to the ACB from their existing postings.

The officers transferred directly to the ACB include Showkat Ahmad and Shahbaz Bashir from the Kashmir Zone; Hilal Ahmad Parray, Ibrar Ahmad Lone and Tahir Bashir Bhat from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID); Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir from Kashmir Zone; Rajinder Kumar from Jammu Zone; and Pankaj Singh from Crime.

Eight Earlier Transfer Orders Cancelled

The Police Headquarters has also cancelled the transfers of another eight Inspectors ordered through an earlier order issued on June 16, 2026, and assigned them to the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

The officers are Vikas Sharma, previously transferred from 4 JKAP to Armed Zone; Liayaqat Ali, from CID to Kashmir Zone; Firdous Ahmed, from Jammu Zone to CID; Kiran Kumar, from CID to Jammu Zone; Ankuj Kumar, from Crime to Jammu Zone; Pawan Singh, from Jammu Zone to PTTI Vijaypur; Arun Sharma, from CID to Jammu Zone; and Mashkoor Ahmed, from Crime to Traffic.

The latest order directs all 16 Inspectors to be relieved forthwith and report to their new assignments.

Inspector Posts to Be Restored

The order further states that the Inspector posts held by Ibrar Ahmad Lone and Tahir Bashir Bhat during the transfer process will be restored to the Armed Zone with immediate effect.

The Police Headquarters has directed the Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, to ensure that the personnel are relieved forthwith, referring to an ACB Headquarters communication dated September 10, 2026.

The order was digitally signed by SP Personnel Varun Jandial on behalf of the DGP, Jammu and Kashmir, on October 3.

The latest reshuffle comes as part of administrative arrangements within the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
