J&K Power Shutdown: Srinagar, Pulwama Areas to Face Scheduled Outages on August 22, 27 and 29
SRINAGAR: Several areas of Srinagar and Pulwama districts are scheduled to face temporary power outages on August 22, 27 and 29 due to maintenance work on 33 kV transmission lines, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said.
According to KPDCL, the scheduled shutdowns have been planned to facilitate maintenance work on the power transmission network. Residents and consumers in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance.
Power Shutdown on August 22
Power supply to Sonwar, Shivpora, Panthachowk, Batwara, WSS Tangnar, Summerbugh, Government Press, GB Panth Hospital and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on August 22.

The outage has been necessitated by the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Pampore-Badamibagh transmission line.
Power Shutdown on August 27 and 29
Similarly, consumers in several areas of Pulwama district will face a scheduled power interruption from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on August 27 and August 29.
The affected areas include:
- Kakapora
- Pahoo
- Nehama
- Newa
- Gudoora
- Parigam
- Singoo Narbal
- Zadoora
- Other adjoining areas
The shutdown is due to maintenance work associated with the 33 kV Pampore-Pulwama transmission line.
KPDCL Issues Advisory to Consumers
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and plan their electricity-dependent activities accordingly.
The scheduled outages are part of maintenance work aimed at ensuring the reliability and proper functioning of the power distribution network.
