Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has issued a government order regarding the appointment of six candidates as Lecturers in the discipline of Geography in the School Education Department.
The order, issued by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, School Education Department, states that the appointments were made pursuant to earlier government orders and that the appointed candidates had subsequently reported and joined in the respective Directorates of School Education.
The department has now ordered their posting against available vacancies with immediate effect.
Six Geography Lecturers Appointed
As per Government Order No. 417-JK(Edu) of 2026, the following six candidates have been appointed as Geography Lecturers:

The order notes that the six candidates had earlier been appointed as Lecturers in Geography through Government Order No. 269-JK(Edu) of 2026 dated August 8, 2026, and Government Order No. 318-JK(Edu) of 2026 dated August 12, 2026.
They were required to report to their respective Directorates of School Education within the stipulated period of 21 days.
After reporting and joining, the candidates were awaiting further adjustment/posting. The latest order now assigns them to specific schools against available vacancies.
