JKPSC Releases Provisional Selection List for Assistant Professor General Medicine at SKIMS
The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission has released the provisional selection list for the post of Assistant Professor in General Medicine at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences under the Health & Medical Education Department.

According to Notification No. 17-PSC (DR-S) of 2026 dated March 16, 2026, the recruitment process was carried out for three advertised posts. The selection was based on candidates’ performance in the written examination and interview.
The written test was conducted on October 7, 2025, and the results were declared on November 12, 2025. Shortlisted candidates were later called for viva-voce, which was held on March 16, 2026, with the assistance of experts from outside the Union Territory.
Following the completion of all selection procedures, two candidates have been provisionally selected for the posts:
- Shaariq Mehraj Naqati – 71.20 points
- Aamir Shafi – 63.80 points
Both candidates belong to the Open Merit (OM) category.
The commission stated that the final merit list has been prepared in accordance with the rules and procedures governing the recruitment process, and detailed information is available in the annexure attached to the official notification.
