Kashmir Power Update: KPDCL Announces Planned Outages: SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Baramulla, Pulwama and Shopian districts on May 9 and May 11 due to maintenance work on multiple 33 kV transmission lines.

According to Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of the 33 kV Pattan-Amargarh line will affect electricity supply to Pattan, Palhalan, Hamaray, Hanjiwera, Trauma Hospital, MES Hyderbeigh, Zangam and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3 pm on May 9 and May 11.

The department said power supply to Zainapora, Chitragam, Awameera, Reban, Aglar, Sugan, Turkwangam, Nagbal, Landoora, Mantribugh, Chakoora, Hermaian, Hajipora and neighbouring areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on May 9 due to shutdown of the 33 kV Reshipora and Landoora lines.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 kV Shamsipora Tapline will disrupt electricity supply to Shamsipora, Sudsanoo, Turka, Tachloo and adjoining areas from 10 am to 3 pm on May 9 and May 11.

Meanwhile, power supply to Tral Town, Essential, Kahlil, Bathnoor, Amirabad, Bulley, Diver, Bajwani, Pinglish, Noorpora, Dadsara and nearby areas will remain suspended from 9 am to 3 pm on May 9 owing to shutdown of the 33 kV Tral-I line, the officials said.(KASHMIR LIFE)
