KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown in Several Areas of Kashmir on March 14–15
Srinagar: The Chief Engineer, Distribution of KPDCL has informed that several power shutdowns will be carried out in different parts of Kashmir to facilitate maintenance and repair works, affecting electricity supply in multiple areas on March 14 and March 15.
According to the department, a shutdown of the 33 kV Pampore–Pampore line will be observed due to which power supply to Pampore, Khadermoh, Zewan, Tangan, EDI and adjoining areas will remain affected from 08:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on March 15, 2026.
Similarly, shutdown of 132 kV ICT-Ckt-II at 200 MVA, 132/33 KV Grid Station Pampore will be observed. Due to this, power supply to Rawalpora, Sanatnagar, Chanapora, Hyderpora, Humhama, Baghat, Barzullah, Rambagh, Natipora, B&J Bagh-i-Mehtab, Rangreth, JAKLI, BEACON, Wanbal, Batagund, Aripal, Lurgam, Noorgam, Lalgam, Tral, Tral-i-Bala, Cheewa, Panzgam, LIS-I, II, III, K.Koot, Marhama, Khiram, Khellan, Konibal, Kadlabal, Shar Shali, IE Wuyan, IE Khrew, Cement Plants, Pahru, BK Pora, Nowgam Railway Station, Summerbugh, Khanda, Ladhoo and adjoining areas will remain affected from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM on March 14, 2026.
Likewise, shutdown of 33 kV Mattan–Pahalgam line and 33 kV Mattan–Iqbalabad line will be carried out. As a result, electricity supply to Hutmurrah, Seer, Salia, Pahalgam, Batkoot, Aishmuqam, Saller, Mattan, Iqbalabad and nearby areas will be affected from 08:30 AM to 02:30 PM on March 14, 2026.
Meanwhile, shutdown of 33 kV Delina–Sopore Tapline and 33 kV Baramulla-II line will also be observed. Due to this, power supply to Sopore Town, Amargarh, Wougub, Old Town, Tawheed Gunj, Drangbal, Jalsheeri, Sheeri, Heevan, Zogiyar and surrounding areas will remain affected from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM on March 14, 2026.
In addition, shutdown of 33 kV MES Kupwara line will be carried out, affecting electricity supply to MES Zangil, Kupwara and adjoining areas from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM on March 15, 2026.
Residents in the affected areas have been advised to take note of the scheduled shutdowns and plan their activities accordingly.
