Srinagar, Oct 31
The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has issued a fresh power shutdown schedule across multiple areas of the Valley in early November to facilitate essential maintenance and upgradation works on the 33 KV network.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), KPDCL, the 33 KV Danderkhah line will remain shut on November 6, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, affecting electricity supply to City Hospital, SD Colony, Tengpora, Gulberg Colony, and adjoining areas.
Similarly, the 33 KV Nagam–Hafroo Tap line will be shut down on November 1, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, impacting the Hafroo receiving station and nearby localities such as Badipora, Hafroo, Bizgo, Loolipora, Naharpora, Watkaloo, and surrounding villages.
On November 4, 2025, shutdowns will also be observed at the Peerbagh Receiving Station (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM) and Batamaloo Receiving Station (10:00 AM to 3:00 PM). Areas to be affected include Humhuma, Peerbagh, Jalalabad, Green Avenue, Batamaloo, and Baranpather.
Additionally, the 33 KV Tral-II and AIIMS lines will undergo maintenance on November 1, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, due to which Aripal, Gulabagh, and Lurgam receiving stations will remain off. The power outage will impact Lam, Jawaharpora, Aripal, Khangund, Satoora, Nargistan, Nanar, Taki, Batagund, Lurgam, Pastoona, and nearby localities.
KPDCL has advised residents to make necessary arrangements in advance and cooperate during the scheduled maintenance period to ensure smoother and more reliable power supply in the future.
