KPDCL power shutdown schedule Kashmir announced for September
The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of Kashmir on multiple dates in September due to necessary maintenance and work on 33-kV transmission lines.
Area-Wise Power Shutdown Schedule
- Kupwara Areas (Sept 5 & 7): Power supply to Arampora, Drugmulla, Kupwara town, Gulgam, Batergam, DC Office Complex, Lolab, and Machil Valley will remain affected from 8 AM to 2 PM on September 5 due to shutdowns of the 33-kV Kupwara Hot and Kupwara Old lines. The 33-kV Kupwara Hot line will also affect Arampora, Drugmulla, Kupwara town, Gulgam, Batergam, DC Office Complex, and adjoining areas on September 7 from 8 AM to 2 PM.
- Khansahib Areas (Sept 7): Power supply to Mujpathry, Khansahib, Raithan, Gurwaite, and adjoining areas will be disrupted from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on September 7 due to the shutdown of the 33-kV Khansahib Tapline.
- Srinagar City Areas (Sept 10 & 15): Localities including Mehjoornagar, Jawaharnagar, Kursoo, Rajbagh Zero Bridge, Gogjibagh, Lalmandi, KP Bagh, and Soiteng PHE will face power cuts from 8 AM to 2 PM on September 10 and 15 due to maintenance on the 33-kV KP Bagh line.
- Ganderbal & Sonamarg Areas (Sept 5): Power supply to Gund, Kullan, Gangangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw, Ganiwan, and adjoining areas will be affected from 8 AM to 2 PM on September 5 due to the 33-kV Kangan-Surfraw line shutdown.
- Pampore & BK Pora (Rescheduled to Sept 9): KPDCL has rescheduled the shutdown of the 33-kV Pampore-BK Pora line (originally set for September 3 and 7); it will now be observed on September 9 from 8 AM to 2 PM.
