TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 27-01-2026
General Advisory:
Commuters are advised to avoid journey on Jammu–Srinagar NHW tonight, as the Meteorological Department has forecast snowfall/rainfall over the next few days.
There is a likelihood of shooting stones and landslides on vulnerable stretches.
Additionally, frost formation between Nachlana and the NAVYUG Tunnel, due to recent snow accumulation, may lead to slippery road conditions and inconvenience to commuters.
NH-44 (NHW)
In view of the inclement weather forecast issued by the Met Department, indicating snowfall/rainfall over the next few days, a decision regarding vehicular movement on Jammu–Srinagar NHW (NH-44) shall be taken tomorrow after assessing road conditions.
Commuters are advised to confirm the road status from TCU Srinagar / Ramban / Jammu.
