SRINAGAR: A tragic incident was reported from the Ramnagri area of Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, where a minor boy died due to suffocation, officials said on Tuesday.

Officials said that the minor was brought to the District Hospital Shopian, where doctors declared him dead.
The boy was reportedly sleeping at his residence when some clothing material accidentally fell over him, causing suffocation. He could not be revived and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, they said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident, while further proceedings have been initiated as per procedure. (KNC)
