SRINAGAR: A non-local minor boy sustained serious injuries after his throat was allegedly slit with a sharp-edged object inside his rented accommodation at Safakadal area of Srinagar, officials said on Saturday.

Official sources said that the injured boy was referred to SMHS hospital, after the incident took place inside his rented room at Safakadal.

The injured has been identified as a resident of Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, presently staying at Safakadal, Srinagar. He is stated to be 16 years old.
The health condition of the injured boy were awaited. Police have taken cognizance of the matter and further investigation is underway. (KNC)
