17-Year-Old Boy Dies of Electric Shock in Pattan, Baramulla
Pattan, Baramulla | Oct 19, 2025:
In a tragic incident, a 17-year-old boy from Sheerpora area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district lost his life after receiving a severe electric shock at his home on Sunday morning.
According to officials, the deceased has been identified as Nasir Ahmad Baba, son of Ghulam Mohammad Baba, a student of Class 11. The mishap occurred when Nasir came in contact with a live electric wire inside his residence.
Family members and neighbors immediately rushed him to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Pattan, where doctors declared him brought dead.
A police official confirmed that the police have taken cognizance of the incident and started the necessary proceedings to ascertain the exact cause of the electric shock.
The untimely death of the teenager has left the entire Sheerpora and Pattan area in deep shock and mourning. Locals have expressed grief and sympathy with the bereaved family and have urged authorities to ensure better safety measures to prevent such accidents in the future.KNC QOUTING BY
