J&K Education Department Transfers 5 Officers, Orders New ZEO Postings
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of two Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and three lecturers in the School Education Department with immediate effect.
The changes have been ordered through Government Order No. 355-JK (Edu) of 2026, issued on August 31, 2026, covering ZEO postings in Chenani, Pampore, Bhagwah and Ramnagar, besides transfers of lecturers in Persian.
J&K School Education Department Transfer Order 2026
According to the government order, Fayaz Ahmad Harray, who was serving as Zonal Education Officer, Chenani, has been transferred and posted as Zonal Education Officer, Pampore.
At the same time, Shahnaz Ahmad Malik, Zonal Education Officer, Pampore, has been transferred and posted as Zonal Education Officer, Chenani.
The two officers will therefore exchange their respective ZEO postings under the latest J&K Education Department transfer order.
Raj Kumar Badyal Posted as ZEO Ramnagar
The government has also directed Raj Kumar Badyal, Zonal Education Officer, Bhagwah in Doda, to join as Zonal Education Officer, Ramnagar.
He has been directed to take charge on September 1, 2026, following the superannuation of the present incumbent.
The posting is part of the latest administrative changes in the School Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir.
Lecturers Transferred in J&K Education Department
The government order also includes the transfer of lecturers serving in government higher secondary schools.
Shahnaz Kousar, Lecturer in Persian at Higher Secondary School Seeri, Nowshera, has been transferred to Higher Secondary School Kakora against the post held by Nasim Akhter.
Meanwhile, Nasim Akhter, Lecturer in Persian at Higher Secondary School Kakora, has been transferred and posted at Higher Secondary School Manjakote.
