The move underlines the district administration’s focus on ensuring that field-level officials complete the survey work within the prescribed targets and timelines.

Digital Crop Survey Underway Across J&K

The digital crop survey is currently being carried out across Jammu and Kashmir as part of an exercise to digitally record information relating to agricultural land and crops.

Officials and field personnel from different departments have been deployed to carry out the survey in Samba district.

The suspension of the four officials comes amid the administration’s efforts to monitor the progress of the exercise and address delays or shortcomings in achieving the assigned targets.

Who Has Been Suspended?

The four officials named in the action are:

  • Jatinder Kumar — Assistant Executive Agriculture Officer, Agriculture Department
  • Sunil Khajuria — Assistant Executive Agriculture Officer, Agriculture Department
  • Surinder Singh — Panchayat Secretary, Rural Development Department
  • Vishal Rasgotra — Panchayat Secretary, Rural Development Department
