Kashmir Power Shutdown:
SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Kashmir on September 12, 13 and 14 to facilitate maintenance and other works on various power transmission lines.
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance as power supply will remain suspended during the scheduled shutdown hours.
KPDCL Power Shutdown on September 12
According to KPDCL, power supply to Anchidora, Chee, Prakashpora, Nambal, Akhura and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on September 12.
The shutdown has been scheduled due to work on the 33 kV Sarnal-Akhura Tapline.
Power Shutdown on September 13
On September 13, power supply to Shopian town, Gagren, Memandhar and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The shutdown is due to the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Batapora-Gagren Tapline.
Several Areas to Remain Affected
KPDCL has also scheduled a shutdown of the 33 kV Lassipora-Reshipora, Lassipora-Keegam and Lassipora-Buildtech (Pulwama B) lines.
As a result, power supply will remain affected in Zainapora, Chitragam, Awneera, Reban, Aglar, Suggan, Turkawangam, Nagbal, Pakherpora, Hawal, Rajpora, Rahmoo, Keegam, Gulshanabad, Akhal, Chararipora, Hotline, Tenghar, Koil, Tengpuna, Pinglena, Gundipora, Gangoo, Arihal, Achan, Oudoora, Ahgam, Lassipora and adjoining areas.

The scheduled shutdown will remain in effect from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on September 13 and September 20, as per the information provided by KPDCL.
KPDCL Power Shutdown on September 14
On September 14, the shutdown of the 33 kV Airforce line will affect power supply to several areas from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The affected areas include:
- Peerbagh
- Cooperative Colony
- Jeelanabad
- Hyderpora
- Nadru
- PHQ
- Airport
- Sheikhpora
- Friends Colony
- Humhama Heights
- Tawheed Bagh
- Adjoining areas
Fethapora, Gadoora and Other Areas
Power supply to Fethapora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Shairpathri, Kachan and adjoining areas will also remain affected from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon on September 14.
The shutdown is due to work on the 33 kV Alasteng-Nagbal line (Gadoora Tapline).
KPDCL Advises Consumers to Make Necessary Arrangements
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance in view of the scheduled power shutdowns.
The power supply is expected to be restored after completion of the scheduled works, subject to the progress of the maintenance activities.
