J&K Government Transfers 122 Assistant Engineers, Issues Fresh Posting Order

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer, adjustment and posting of 122 Assistant Engineers (AEs) and In-charge Assistant Engineers (Mechanical) across the Union Territory with immediate effect.

The Public Works (R&B) Department issued Government Order No. 327-PW(R&B) of 2026 dated September 24, 2026, superseding Government Order No. 319-PW(R&B) of 2026 dated September 14, 2026.

The latest reshuffle covers various R&B divisions, Mechanical and Hospital divisions, Machinery divisions and other engineering establishments. Several engineers have also been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department, Housing and Urban Development Department, Jammu Municipal Corporation and Srinagar Municipal Corporation for further posting.
