J&K Higher Education Department Transfers 8 Clinical Biochemistry Professors; Check Full Posting List
Srinagar, September 25, 2026: The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department has ordered the transfer and posting of eight Associate and Assistant Professors of Clinical Biochemistry across various government degree colleges in Jammu and Kashmir.
The transfers have been issued through Government Order No. 336-JK(HE) of 2026, dated September 25, 2026, under the department’s Faculty Transfer Policy, notified through Notification No. 01-JK(HE) of 2026 on June 15, 2026.
J&K Clinical Biochemistry Faculty Transfer List
According to the government order, the following faculty members have been transferred and posted:
- Safiya Kouser — transferred from Government Degree College Gurez to Government College for Women, MA Road, Srinagar, against an available vacancy.
- Mehraj Ud Din Bhat — transferred from Government Degree College Handwara to Government Degree College Sopore, replacing Gh. Jeelani Mir.
- Gh. Jeelani Mir — posted to Government Degree College Baramulla in place of Rukhsana Akhtar.
- Rukhsana Akhtar — transferred from Government Degree College Baramulla to Government Degree College Budgam, replacing Aijaz Rashid.
- Aijaz Rashid — posted to Government Degree College Handwara in place of Mehraj Ud Din Bhat.
- Qudsia Rashid — transferred from Government Degree College (Boys) Pulwama to S.P. College, Srinagar, replacing Dr Samina Bashir.
- Dr Samina Bashir — posted to Government Degree College Pulwama in place of Qudsia Rashid.
- Zaffar Ullah Zargar — transferred from Government Degree College Kupwara to S.P. College, Srinagar, against an available vacancy.
Faculty Deemed Relieved
The Higher Education Department has stated that all eight faculty members shall be deemed to have been relieved from their present places of posting in accordance with the government order.
The transfers have been issued under the J&K Higher Education Department Faculty Transfer Policy 2026 and take effect immediately.
