Srinagar Power Shutdown on October 6, 7 and 12: Check Affected Areas and Timings
SRINAGAR: Power supply in several areas of Srinagar and its outskirts will remain affected on October 6, October 7 and October 12, 2026, due to scheduled shutdowns of multiple 33 kV power transmission lines.
According to the shutdown schedule issued by the Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), the outages have been planned to facilitate maintenance-related work on the respective power lines.
Residents in the affected areas have been advised to plan accordingly during the scheduled shutdown hours.
Power Shutdown in Srinagar on October 6
On October 6, power supply in several areas will be affected due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Alusteng-Zakoora feeder and 33 kV Alusteng-Nagbal line.
The scheduled shutdown will remain in effect from 12 noon to 2 pm.

Wanganpora-Khanyar-Rainawari line shutdown
Power supply to Kondabal, Hassanabad, Hazaribagh, JLNM Hospital, Jogilanker, Maqdoom Sahib, Miskeen Bagh and Rozbal, along with adjoining areas, will also be affected.
The 33 kV Wanganpora-Khanyar-Rainawari line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on October 6 and October 12.
Power Shutdown on October 7
On October 7, the scheduled shutdown of the 33 kV Airforce line will affect power supply from 10 am to 3 pm.

- Nadru
- PHQ
- Airport
- Sheikhpora
- Friends Colony
- Humhama Heights
- Tawheed Bagh
- Adjoining areas
Cheshmashahi-TRC-Nedous Line Shutdown
Another scheduled shutdown on October 7 will affect power supply from 11 am to 2 pm due to maintenance work on the 33 kV Cheshmashahi-TRC-Nedous line.
The affected locations and connections include:
- Chief Minister’s residence
- Deputy Chief Minister’s residence
- Paras Hospital
- 11 kV F4 Sonwar line

The shutdowns have been scheduled by KPDCL as part of maintenance-related work on the respective power lines.
