Driver From Baramulla Dies After Truck Overturns in Anantnag’s Laripora
Srinagar, October 20: A tragic road accident in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district claimed the life of a truck driver from Baramulla on Monday morning.
According to officials GNS, the mishap occurred when a tipper truck, bearing registration number JK01AJ-7136, lost control and overturned at Laripora in the tourist area of Pahalgam. The driver, identified as Mehraj Ud Din Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Baramulla, died on the spot due to the impact of the crash.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings. The cause of the accident is believed to be loss of control, though a detailed investigation is underway.
