Srinagar, Nov 8: The Central University of Jammu (CUJ) has announced its latest Employment Notification No. 28 of 2025 inviting online applications for teaching posts of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various departments and centres of the university. The recruitment drive aims to fill regular as well as backlog vacancies under different categories.

The online application portal will remain open from November 11, 2025 (10:00 AM) to November 30, 2025 (11:59 PM). Eligible and interested candidates possessing the prescribed qualifications can apply through the official university website — www.cujammu.ac.in.

CU Jammu Recruitment 2025 – Vacancy Details

According to the official notification, the Central University of Jammu has announced the following posts:

Associate Professor: 01 Post
Assistant Professor: 02 Posts

These posts include both fresh and backlog vacancies under categories such as SC (Scheduled Caste), OBC (Other Backward Classes), and PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability). The university has clearly mentioned that candidates from these categories will be given preference as per Government of India norms.

Eligibility and Qualifications

The detailed eligibility criteria, academic qualifications, and experience requirements for each teaching post are available in the official notification. Candidates must hold the required academic degrees from a recognized university or institution as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations and other relevant guidelines.

Application Process

Reservation for PwBD Candidates

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will be considered as per availability and suitability of positions under OH (Orthopedically Handicapped), HH (Hearing Handicapped), and VH (Visually Handicapped) categories. The university will provide horizontal reservation for PwBD candidates following Government of India guidelines.

Important Information for Candidates

Candidates appointed against lien posts will initially serve on a temporary basis until the lien exists. If the original employee does not rejoin, such appointees may be confirmed on a permanent basis after fulfilling probation conditions.
