SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer (Distribution), Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has announced scheduled power shutdowns affecting multiple areas across the Valley due to maintenance work on 33 kV lines.

A shutdown of the 33 kV Exhibition line will affect electricity supply to Iqbalabad, Towheedabad, Hamdania Colony, Nundresh Colony, and adjoining areas from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm on January 3 2026.
The 33 kV Shariefabad-Wadwan line will be shut down, affecting Shariefabad, Durbal, Hanjik, Soibugh, Haran, Bonpora, Astanpora-Wadwan, Dharmuna, Russu, Gopora, and Pymus along with adjoining areas from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on January 3, 2026.
Besides, the 33 kV Nihalpora-Gulmarg line will undergo maintenance, impacting power supply to Reram, Chandilora, Watnoo, Tangmarg, Kralweth, Mulgam, Ferozpora, Rangawali, Kulhama, Shai, Buderkoot, Gulmarg, Khyber, Chandi, Wanigam, Malgam, Malpora, and surrounding areas from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on January 4 and 7, 2026.
KPDCL has advised residents and businesses to make alternate arrangements during the scheduled outages.
