J&K Higher Education Department Orders Transfer of Ministerial Staff in Kashmir Division Colleges
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Directorate of Colleges, Higher Education Department, has ordered the transfer and posting of ministerial and executive staff across several colleges in the Kashmir division.

According to Order No. 19-DC-HE of 2026 dated March 3, 2026, the transfers have been made in the interest of administration and will take effect immediately.

The order includes both Senior Assistants and Junior Assistants who have been shifted to different government degree colleges across districts such as Srinagar, Budgam, Pulwama, Kupwara, Baramulla, and others.
Senior Assistants Transferred
Several Senior Assistants have been transferred to new colleges. These include:
• Rubana Rasool – shifted from GDC Women M.A. Road Srinagar to Srinagar Women’s College Zakura
• Mohd Iqbal Khan – moved from GDC Awantipora to GDC for Women Pulwama
• Shabnam Ara – transferred from GDC Chadoora to Govt. S.A.M Degree College Budgam
• Ishfaq Rashid – shifted from GDC Charisharief to GDC Pulwama
• Chesfeeda Ahad – transferred from GDC Hyderpora to GDC Khansahib
• Manzoor Ahmad Rather – moved from GDC Kulgam to GDC D.H. Pora
• Manzoor Ahmad Khan – shifted from GDC for Women Pulwama to GDC Kulgam
• Ghulam Rasool Khan – transferred from Govt. S.A.M Degree College Budgam to GDC Beerwah
• Asif Qadir Bhat – moved from GDC Sogbugh to Sri Pratap College Srinagar
• Suhail Ahmad Parray – shifted from GDC Tral to GDC Pampore
Junior Assistants Also Shifted
A number of Junior Assistants have also been transferred to various colleges in the valley.
Some of the key transfers include:
• Najam Us Saqib – Amar Singh College Srinagar to GDC Tangmarg
• Insha Gulzar – GDC Boys Kupwara to GCW Kupwara
• Nasir Hamid – GDC Women Nawakadal to GCET Safapora
• Shabir Ahmad Sheikh – GDC Women Nawakadal to GDC Sogbugh
• Zubeeda Akhter – GDC Khansahib to GDC Budgam
• Muneer Bashir – GDC Pattan to GDC Boniyar
• Showkat Ahmad Changa – GDC Women Kupwara to GDC Kupwara
• Nazia Nabi – GDC Beerwah to GDC Charisharief
• Javid Ahmad Akhoon – GDC Women Baramulla to GDC Uri
• Darshan Lal – Sri Pratap College Srinagar to Amar Singh College Srinagar
Other officials including Owais Ahmed Mattoo, Pervaze Ahmad Sheikh, Mohd Hussain Koka, Mehraj-u-Din Bhat, Tariq Ahmad Kondoo, Ubaid Ahmad Shah, Aatif Nazir, Ab Rashid Dar, and Himanshu Langeh have also been posted to different colleges across the Kashmir division.
Transfers Effective Immediately
The Higher Education Department stated that all the transfers will come into force with immediate effect. The move is aimed at ensuring better administrative management and smooth functioning of government colleges across the Kashmir division.
