JKPSC Announces Provisional Select List for Assistant Director, District Science & Technology Coordinator Posts
The Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has released the Provisional Select List for the posts of Assistant Director (Technical Cadre) and District Science & Technology Coordinator (Technical Cadre) in the Science & Technology Department.
According to the notification, the Science & Technology Department had referred two Open Merit vacancies—one post each of Assistant Director (Technical Cadre) and District Science & Technology Coordinator (Technical Cadre)—to JKPSC through Letter No. ST/Adm/12/2019 dated 21 June 2021.
The Commission subsequently advertised these vacancies through Notification No. 10-PSC (DR-P) of 2022 dated 26 April 2022, inviting online applications from eligible candidates. The last date for determining eligibility was 26 May 2022.
As part of the recruitment process, JKPSC conducted the written examination on 10 June 2025 in accordance with the provisions of the J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2022 and the J&K Public Service Commission (Business & Procedure) Rules, 2021.
The result of the written examination was declared through Notification No. PSC/Exam/S/2025/47 dated 12 November 2025, in which five candidates were provisionally shortlisted for the interview round.
The viva-voce (interview) was held on 24 July 2026 with the assistance of experts from outside the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Based on the candidates’ performance in the written examination, interview, and other prescribed criteria under the applicable recruitment rules, JKPSC has now issued the Provisional Select List. The detailed merit list of candidates who appeared in the interview has been enclosed as an annexure to the notification.
