SKUAST Kashmir Issues Appointment Orders for Assistant-cum-Typist Posts
Srinagar: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir has issued appointment orders for selected candidates for the post of Assistant-cum-Typist.
According to University Order No. 170 (Est.) of 2026 dated March 09, 2026, the appointments have been made in reference to Advertisement Notice No. 04 of 2024 dated June 25, 2024.
The appointments have been issued after the declaration of results of the University Recruitment Test by the Controller of Examinations at SKUAST-K Shalimar and the subsequent verification of documents and eligibility by the designated screening committee. The process was approved by the Vice-Chancellor and follows the earlier notice issued under endorsement No. AU/Adm/GAD/Rec-ACT/2025/5926-5963 dated January 12, 2026.
Candidates whose names appear in the selection list have been appointed as Assistant-cum-Typist on a regular temporary basis.

Pay Scale and Salary Structure
The selected candidates will receive a salary in the Pay Band of Rs 5200–20200 with Grade Pay of Rs 1900 (PR), which has now been revised to Level-2 of the pay matrix (Rs 19,900–63,200) along with other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Merit and Seniority
The inter-se seniority of the appointed candidates will be determined according to the order of merit in which their names appear in the official appointment list.
Joining Deadline
All selected candidates are required to join their respective posts within 21 days from the date of issuance of the appointment order. If a candidate fails to join within the specified period, the appointment offer may be cancelled without any further notice.
Probation Period
The appointed candidates will remain on probation for a period of two years from the date of joining.
During the probation period, the University has the authority to terminate the appointment at any time without issuing any notice or assigning any reason.
Posting and Service Conditions
The appointed candidates may be posted in any constituent unit of SKUAST-Kashmir depending on administrative requirements.
Their service conditions will be governed by the statutes and rules of SKUAST-Kashmir currently in force or any amendments introduced from time to time. The provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Rules (J&K CSRs) will also apply wherever relevant.
