J&K Finance Dept Releases Additional 25% Funds Under Revenue Budget 2026-27
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has authorized the release of an additional 25 per cent of funds for all administrative departments under the Revenue Budget for the financial year 2026-27.
The latest allocation takes the total funds released through the Budget Estimation and Allocation Monitoring System (BEAMS) to 75 per cent of the approved Budget Estimates (BE) for the current financial year.
75% of Budget Estimates Now Released
According to the order issued by the Director General (Budget), the additional 25 per cent release has been approved for administrative expenditure under the Revenue Budget.
With this release, departments will now have access to a cumulative 75 per cent of their approved Budget Estimates through the BEAMS system.
The release is intended to facilitate expenditure by the concerned administrative departments during the ongoing financial year.
Departments Directed to Follow Austerity Measures
While authorizing the additional funds, the Finance Department has directed all concerned departments to strictly comply with the conditions laid down in the earlier government orders.
Departments have been instructed to follow the provisions of Government Order No. 149-F of 2026 while utilizing the released funds.
They have also been directed to adhere to the austerity and economy measures prescribed under Government Order No. 198-F of 2026, dated May 22, 2026.
Excluded Budget Heads to Be Considered Separately
The Finance Department has further clarified that funds relating to specific detailed heads excluded under the earlier April 2026 order will continue to be considered separately.
Such cases will be examined on a case-by-case basis, as per the applicable government instructions.
The latest authorization therefore increases the availability of funds for administrative departments while retaining the existing financial controls and economy measures.
