SRINAGAR: IAS officer Rahul Pandey has been posted as Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh, following his tenure in Jammu and Kashmir on inter-cadre deputation.
A 2014-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, Pandey had served in several administrative positions in Jammu and Kashmir during his deputation, including Deputy Commissioner of Kathua and Director of Information and Public Relations.
Pandey was posted to Jammu and Kashmir on inter-cadre deputation for three years in relaxation of rules. He assumed charge as Director of Information and Public Relations in March 2021 and was also associated with the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat as Additional Secretary.
He took charge as Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Kathua in May 2022, where he was responsible for district administration and implementation of development and public welfare programmes.
After completing his deputation in Jammu and Kashmir, Pandey returned to his parent cadre in Uttar Pradesh. He subsequently served as District Magistrate of Hathras and later as Special Secretary in the Uttar Pradesh Government.
Before his latest posting as DC Hardoi, Pandey was serving as Special Secretary in the Uttar Pradesh Government.
