Power Alert: KPDCL Schedules Shutdown in Several Areas of Kashmir Valley : SRINAGAR: The Executive Engineer, Power Distribution Kashmir, has informed that scheduled shutdowns of multiple transmission lines and grid stations will be carried out on different dates, affecting power supply in several areas of the Valley.
According to the statement, shutdown of the 33 kV Bemina–Fatehkadal line and 33 kV Bemina–Barbarshah line will be observed on April 22, 27 and 30, 2026 from 8 am to 3 pm, affecting areas including K.K. Moulla, Nowpora, Bohri Kadal, BB Shah, Badademb, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital, Naisadak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basant Bagh, Car Parking, Maisuma Bazar and adjoining localities.
Similarly, shutdown of the 33 kV Beerwah–Arizal Tapline will be carried out on April 21 and 23, 2026 from 10 am to 3 pm, impacting Arizal, Zanigam, Reyar, Doodhpathry and nearby areas.
The 33 kV Baghimehtab line will also remain shut on April 20 and 23, 2026 from 10 am to 4 pm, affecting Baghimehtab, Kralpora, Mocha, Gopalpora, Kantabagh and adjoining areas.
In addition, shutdown of the 132/33 kV Grid Sub Station Kangan will be observed on April 20, 2026 from 8:30 am to 4 pm, resulting in power disruption in Gund, Gadribal, Kullan, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw, Ganiwan and nearby areas.
Authorities have advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the shutdown periods.(SOURCE : KASHMIR LIFE)
