South Kashmir Road Accident: 64-Year-Old Woman Killed: SRINAGAR: An elderly woman lost her life after being hit by a truck in the Khudwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday, officials said.
Officials said the accident occurred when a truck bearing registration number JK03N-9019 hit a pedestrian at Khudwani.
The deceased has been identified as Haleema Banoo, wife of Gulzar Ahmad Lone and a resident of Reshipora Haram in Shopian. She was around 64 years old.
She sustained grievous injuries in the incident and was initially shifted to PHC Qaimoh for treatment. However, doctors referred her to GMC Anantnag, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident, and further investigation has been initiated. (JKNS)
