JKPSC Lecturer English Selection List 2026 Released for School Education Department
Srinagar, May 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has issued the provisional selection list for the post of Lecturer, English, in the School Education Department.
According to Notification No. 35-PSC (DR-S) of 2026 dated May 18, 2026, the School Education Department had referred 49 vacancies of Lecturer English to JKPSC for recruitment.
The vacancies included different categories such as Open Merit (OM), RBA, SC, ST-1, ST-2, ALC/IB, OBC and EWS. One post was also reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD).
The notification stated that the posts were advertised through Notification No. 07-PSC (DR-P) of 2024 dated December 9, 2024, and the last date for determining eligibility was fixed as January 9, 2025.
As per the official details, the written examination for the Lecturer English posts was conducted on November 9, 2025. Later, the result of the written examination was declared on December 1, 2025, in which 153 candidates qualified provisionally for the interview process.
JKPSC further informed that the viva-voce/interviews of candidates were conducted from May 11 to May 18, 2026, with the assistance of experts from outside the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The commission said that the merit list of candidates who appeared in the interview has been enclosed as an annexure to the notification.
Candidates who appeared in the recruitment process can check the provisional selection list through the official JKPSC website.
