Srinagar: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has initiated the process for filling up the posts of Civil Judge (Senior Division) by way of promotion from amongst eligible Civil Judges (Junior Division) on an adhoc basis.
According to an official order, Hon’ble the Chief Justice (Acting) has constituted a committee comprising Justice Sanjay Parihar and Justice Shahzad Azeem to conduct interviews of eligible candidates falling within the zone of consideration for promotion.

The interviews will be conducted in accordance with Rule 7(c) of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Judicial Service Rules, 2025. The list of eligible candidates has been provided in Annexure “A” appended to the official order.
The promotion process aims to fill the vacant posts of Civil Judge (Senior Division) and ensure the smooth functioning of the judicial system in the Union Territory.
