Srinagar, June 10: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Sports Minister Satish Sharma on Wednesday congratulated 223 sportspersons who have been selected for government appointments under the Sports Quota, calling it a landmark achievement for the sporting community of the Union Territory.

In a message shared on social media platform X, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his congratulations to all selected candidates. The Lieutenant Governor wished the selected athletes success in their future careers and expressed hope that they would continue to excel both professionally and in the field of sports.

Sports Minister Satish Sharma also welcomed the development and described it as a historic moment for the selected candidates and their families. He informed that the appointment orders would be formally handed over to the successful candidates by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Sharma thanked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for supporting and facilitating the recruitment process, which has enabled hundreds of deserving athletes to secure government employment through the Sports Quota.
