TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 15-06-2026:-
From 13-06-2026, 1600 hrs to 14-06-2026, 1600 hrs, slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to single-lane conditions between Marog and Kishtwari Pather, in addition to the breakdown of 03 HMVs between Ramban and Banihak.
District Magistrate Ramban vide order No. ADMR/542-54 dated 10-06-2026 has accorded permission to NHAI for relaying works (execution of bituminous works) during night hours on 12th, 14th and 16th June 2026 at various locations, including the critical location at Nachlana on NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar NHW). Accordingly Traffic will remain suspended between Nashri and Navyug Tunnel on the intervening nights of 14th/15th and 16th/17th June 2026 from 2200 hrs to 0500 hrs each night.
In view of the traffic suspension on the NH-44, no movement of any kind of vehicle shall be allowed after 1700 hrs from Udhampur towards Ramban, Banihal, and Srinagar. Similarly, no vehicle shall be allowed to move after 2000 hrs from Qazigund towards Banihal, Ramban, Udhampur, and Jammu.
Passengers/LMV operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during daytime . Night travel should be avoided due to the apprehension of shooting stones/ landslides as well as ongoing construction work between Ramban and Banihal which may cause inconvenience to commuters.
NH-44 (NHW)
Tonight no traffic movement will be allowed between Nashri and NAVYUG Tunnel in view of execution of bituminous works on NH-44. Tomorrow subject to fair weather/better road conditions and after getting green signal from NHAI, LMVs Passenger/HPVs/ Private Cars/HMVs (Good carrier) shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline ; overtaking, wrong lane driving will cause congestion. TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding the road condition.
SFs Convoy Movement: –
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. They shall move after confirming the status of NHW from TCU Ramban.
Kishtwar-Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244:-
As per order issued by the SDM Chatroo vide No. SDM/C/2026-27/270-78 dated 24-05-2026 and the SDM Kokernag vide No SDM/KNG/26-27/296 dated 25-05-2026, subject to fair weather and good road condition, after getting green signal from Road maintenance agencies (NHIDCL). LMVs Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed to ply from both sides viz Kishtwar towards Srinagar and vice versa on Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road. These vehicles shall be allowed to move from PP Parana and Daksum between 0800 hrs and 1600 hrs . However, HMVs upto six tyres and HPSVs (seating capacity upto 30 passengers only) shall be allowed to ply from Srinagar towards Kishtwar and these vehicles shall be allowed to move from Daksum between 0800 hrs and 1600 hrs . No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing. TCU Jammu /Ramban/TCU Srinagar will inform all concerned about the cut off timing.
SSG ROAD
As per order issued by the DIVCOM Kashmir vide No. DivCom/Dev/100/2026/4392-4410 dated 14-05-2026, subject to fair weather and good road conditions, LMVs shall be allowed to ply from both sides on Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumari road, i.e., from Srinagar towards Kargil and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed to move from Sonamarg towards Kargil and from Minamarg towards Srinagar (only, after receiving green signal from the road maintenance agencies) up to 1300 hrs. However, HMVs shall be allowed to move from Minamarg towards Srinagar between 1200 hrs and 1500 hrs, and no vehicle shall be allowed after 1500 hrs. Motorists are advised to carry and use anti-skid chain to gain more grip on the slippery road. TCU Srinagar and PCR Kargil will inform all concerned about the cut-off timing.
SFs convoy moving on the SSG road shall plan their movement in such a manner that civil traffic is not disturbed.
Mughal Road:-
As per the orders issued by the District Magistrate, Shopian vide No. DMS/ADM-PS/25-26/276-85 dated 22-04-2026 and the District Magistrate, Poonch vide No. DMP/J/376-91 dated 22-04-2026, and subject to fair weather and good road conditions, vehicular movement (LMVs followed by HMVs up to six tyres only ) shall be allowed on Mughal Road from both sides , i.e., from Poonch towards Shopian and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed from Chandimarh (Baffliaz) towards Shopian between 0900 hrs and 1700 hrs, and from Herpora (Shopian) towards Poonch between 1000 hrs and 1700 hrs , after obtaining clearance from the road maintenance agency (GREF). No vehicle shall be allowed after the cut-off timings. TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar shall inform all concerned regarding the cut-off timings.
