J&K Higher Education Department 2026 Transfers 15 Biotechnology Professors, Issues Fresh Postings
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department has ordered the transfer and posting of 15 Associate/Assistant Professors (Biotechnology) across various Government Degree Colleges in the Union Territory.
The transfers have been ordered with immediate effect through Government Order No. 318-JK(HE) of 2026, issued on September 16, 2026.
The order has been issued in the interest of administration and follows the Transfer Policy for Faculty of the Higher Education Department, notified vide Notification No. 01-JK(HE) of 2026 dated June 15, 2026.

Transfers to Take Effect Immediately
The Higher Education Department has stated that the transfers and postings will take effect immediately.
The order also specifies that the concerned faculty members shall be deemed to have been relieved from their present places of posting.
They are therefore required to join their respective new places of posting in accordance with the government directions.
Transfers Issued Under Faculty Transfer Policy
The latest reshuffle has been made with reference to the Transfer Policy for Faculty of the Higher Education Department, notified by the department in June 2026.
The order has been issued by the Higher Education Department in the interest of administration and covers faculty members serving in Government Degree Colleges across different districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
