KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown Schedule Across Kashmir Till July 28; Check Affected Areas
Srinagar, July 2: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir during July 2026 to facilitate maintenance and repair works on various 33 kV and 132 kV transmission lines.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, electricity supply will remain affected from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM on different dates in the notified areas.
On July 4, power supply will remain affected in Miskeen Bagh, Rozabal, Makhdoomsahab, Hazaribagh, Jogilanker, JLNM Hospital, Kondabal, Hasanabad and adjoining areas. The same day, electricity will also remain suspended in Hamdania Colony, HIG/MIG Colony, Nundresh Colony, Gousia Colony, Hamza Colony, Sir Syedabad, Qamarwari, Chattabal, SK Colony, Tawheedabad, Iqbalabad, PDD Complex, Medical Hostel, Civil Secretariat, Gole Market, Guru Bazar, Tankipora, Shaheed Gunj and adjoining areas. In addition, areas including Bemina, JVC Hospital, Children Hospital, Hajj House, Fateh Kadal, Khayam, Barbarshah and Basant Bagh will also witness power interruptions.
On July 5, electricity supply will remain affected in Industries, Raja Colony, Firdous Cinema, Zadibal, Zoonimar, BSNL Exchange and adjoining areas.
On July 6 and 14, power supply will remain affected in Umerheir, Ahmad Nagar, Panchayat, Pandech, Khalmulla and adjoining areas.
On July 6, 14, 20, 24 and 28, electricity will remain affected in Shuhama, Bakura, Darend, Nagbal, Fetehpora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Chunduna, Saloora, Shairpathri and nearby areas.
On July 8 and 11, power supply will remain affected in Miskeenbagh, Rosebal, Hazaribagh, Kondebal, Hasanabad, Jogi Lanker, Palpora, Sangam, JLNM Hospital and adjoining areas.
On July 11, electricity will remain affected in Veeri, Nowbugh, Srigufwara, Kanalwan, Beewora, Darigund and nearby areas.
On July 13 and 15, power supply will remain suspended in Jamallatta, Nawabazar, Zainakadal, Firdous Colony, Zaldagar, Nowhatta, Nawa Kadal, MR Gunj, Zadibal, Kaksarai and adjoining areas.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to plan accordingly and cooperate during the scheduled maintenance works, which are aimed at improving the reliability of the power distribution network.
