Srinagar, August 22, 2026: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Srinagar and Tral on August 24, 2026.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdowns will be carried out on different 33 kV lines, due to which electricity supply to several areas will remain affected during the scheduled hours.

KPDCL Power Shutdown in Srinagar on August 24
The 33 kV Cheshmashahi-Brein Nishat line will remain under scheduled shutdown on August 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Due to the shutdown, power supply will be affected in Brein, Tulip Garden, Brein Pahloo, Taj Vivanta, Exchange Colony, Nishat, Handampora, Pathanbagh, Filtration Plant and adjoining areas.
