Additional Charges Assigned to Senior IPS Officers in jk
In preparation for the 18th Phase-IV Mid-Career Training Programme (MCTP), the Jammu & Kashmir Police Headquarters has issued orders for senior IPS officers to take on additional responsibilities. This is to ensure the smooth functioning of key units while the regular officers are away for training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Police Academy (SVNPA) in Hyderabad from October 27, 2025.
Details of Assignments
The following temporary additional charges have been assigned:
- Officer on Training: Mohd Suleman Choudhary, IPS (IGP Traffic, J&K)
· Officer with Additional Charge: Shri Gupta, IPS (IGP Railways Traffic, J&K)
· Additional Responsibility: Will look after the duties of IGP Traffic, J&K. - Officer on Training: Magsood-ul-Zaman, IPS (DIG NKR, Baramulla)
· Officer with Additional Charge: Sande Rajiv Omparkash, IPS (DIG CKR)
· Additional Responsibility: Will look after the duties of DIG NKR, Baramulla.
These additional charges will be in effect until the incumbent officers return and resume their duties after completing the training program.
Context and Purpose
· Order Issued By: Headquarters of the J&K Police, Srinagar.
· Reason: To maintain operational continuity during the absence of officers attending the mandatory MCTP.
· Approval: The order was issued with the approval of the Deputy Chief Commissioner (DC).
