Bandipora, January 4: The death toll in the tragic road accident in Bandipora district has risen to three after another critically injured Army jawan succumbed to his injuries while being transported to a Srinagar hospital.

Accident Details
On January 4, an Army vehicle skidded off the Bandipora-Srinagar road near SK Payeen in north Kashmir, falling into a deep gorge. The incident resulted in severe injuries to six soldiers, with two of them being declared dead upon arrival at the Bandipora district hospital.
Injured Soldiers
Three critically injured soldiers were transferred to Srinagar for advanced medical treatment. Tragically, one of them passed away on the way to the hospital. One other soldier had been referred earlier to Sumbal hospital for treatment.
Authorities Respond
The local authorities have confirmed the unfortunate incident and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased soldiers. They have also provided necessary support to the injured personnel.
