The Cluster University of Jammu has extended the last date for submission of applications under its latest Recruitment 2026 notification. The University has invited applications from retired or likely-to-be-retired candidates for administrative posts on a contractual basis. Recruitment Overview

The Registrar, on behalf of the Cluster University of Jammu, has invited applications from candidates who have already retired or are likely to retire within the next six months from service. The recruitment is aimed at utilizing experienced personnel who have served in the University System or Government Higher Education Institutions.

Post Details and Salary

Assistant Registrar
Consolidated Salary: ₹30,000 per month
Eligibility: Candidates must have experience of working in the University System.

Section Officer / Head Assistant
Consolidated Salary: ₹20,000 per month
Eligibility: Candidates should have experience of working in the University System or Government Higher Education Institutions.

Eligibility Conditions

Applicants should be below the age of 64 years as on 01 January 2026 or likely to retire from service within six months. Only candidates with relevant administrative experience in universities or government higher education institutions are eligible to apply.

Tenure of Engagement

The engagement will be for a period of one year or until the candidate attains the age of 65 years or until a permanent arrangement is made, whichever is earlier. The contract may be extended further depending on the performance of the candidate and the requirement of the University. The engagement can be terminated by either side with one month’s notice or by payment of one month’s salary in lieu of notice.

Application Process

The application form must be downloaded from the official website of Cluster University of Jammu at www.clujammu.ac.in. Applications submitted on plain paper will not be accepted. Candidates must apply only on the prescribed application form.

Submission Address

The duly filled application form should reach the Office of the Assistant Registrar (Administration), Cluster University of Jammu, Adjoining G.G.M. Science College, Jammu-180016 (Jammu and Kashmir) by or before 21 January 2026. Applications must be sent through Registered Post or Speed Post only. Applications sent through courier services will be rejected and the University will not be responsible for postal delays.

Important Instructions

The envelope containing the application form must be clearly superscribed with the Name of the Post Applied For along with Advertisement Number and Date. The University reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason. No interim queries regarding the recruitment process will be entertained at any stage.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be made by a committee constituted by the Cluster University of Jammu. The decision of the selection committee shall be final and binding.
