Government Medical College Kathua has issued an official recruitment notification inviting applications for the posts of Demonstrator and Senior Resident on a tenure basis. The recruitment is open to both PSC and Non-PSC doctors who are domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. This recruitment drive aims to strengthen academic and clinical services across various disciplines at GMC Kathua.
Eligible candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed format enclosed as Annexure-A of the notification. The last date for submission of application forms is 06 January 2026 up to 01:00 PM. Applications received after the deadline will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500 through online mode only. The fee is non-refundable. The transaction receipt must be attached with the application form at the time of submission. Applicants applying for more than one specialty must submit separate application forms for each discipline.
For PSC in-service doctors, salary will be paid as per their Last Pay Certificate. Such candidates must have prior permission from the Administrative Department and will be allowed to join only after being formally relieved from their department.
Non-PSC candidates will be engaged on a consolidated pay equal to the revised basic pay corresponding to the minimum of the pre-revised scale of Medical Officer as per SRO-193 dated 24-04-2018, along with dearness allowance. House Rent Allowance will be admissible as per applicable rules, while no other monetary benefits will be provided.
Applications must be submitted offline either by post or by hand. Any postal delay will be the sole responsibility of the candidate.
