Srinagar, Nov 8: The Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar has officially released the Final Answer Key and Selection List for the written test conducted on October 30, 2025, for the engagement of Senior Residents in various medical disciplines. The update comes through Notification No. 44-EC of 2025, dated November 6, 2025, marking the completion of the selection process initiated under Advertisement Notice No. 12-RA of 2025, dated September 13, 2025.

Written Test and Objection Process

The written test (OMR-based MCQ format) for Senior Resident positions was held on October 30, 2025, in the following disciplines:

Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery (CVTS)
Pathology
Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Ophthalmology
Surgical Gastroenterology

Following the examination, the provisional answer keys were published under Notification No. 43-EC of 2025, dated October 30, 2025, allowing candidates to raise objections until November 1, 2025 (01:00 PM) by paying a nominal fee of ₹300 per objection along with supporting documentary proof.

Objections and Expert Review

GMC Srinagar received only one representation within the given time frame, challenging two questions (Nos. 45 & 60) in the Obstetrics & Gynaecology discipline. The representation was evaluated by subject experts, who found certain objections justified and others unfounded. Based on their recommendations, the necessary corrections were incorporated into the revised keys.

After the review process, the college accepted the experts’ recommendations and finalized the keys. The institution has made it clear that no further claims or objections will be entertained on the final answer key.

Result and Selection List

With the finalization of answer keys, GMC Srinagar has published the selection/engagement list of successful candidates for the post of Senior Residents, based on the evaluation of written test results conducted on October 30, 2025. The complete list of selected candidates is available in Annexure “A” attached to the official notification.
