High Court Junior Assistant Exam Disrupted in Jammu: 67 Candidates to Get Re-Exam
Srinagar, July 21: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh successfully conducted the written examination for Junior Assistant recruitment across multiple centres in the Union Territory on Sunday.
However, a major issue was reported at the Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research, Nardani, Kot Bhalwal, where 67 candidates could not appear for the examination due to a shortage of examination material.

According to an official statement, the centre ran out of OMR answer sheets and question booklets, leaving the affected candidates unable to take the test.
After the matter was brought to the notice of the High Court by the Registrar (Recruitment), the Court immediately directed that a fresh examination be conducted exclusively for the 67 affected candidates.
The re-examination will be held within two weeks, while the date, time, and venue will be announced separately within the next two days.
The High Court has also ordered an inquiry into the incident to determine:
- Why the examination material fell short.
- Who was responsible for the lapse.
- Measures needed to prevent such incidents in future.
The Court assured all affected candidates that they will not face any disadvantage because of the incident and reiterated its commitment to a fair, transparent, and merit-based recruitment process.
