J&K Govt Orders Major Police Transfers and Postings
Srinagar, Oct 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday announced a fresh round of transfers and postings in the Police Department, following approval from the competent authority and clearance from the Election Commission of India.
According to the official order, Girdhari Lal (JKPS:2001), serving as SSP Traffic Rural Jammu, has been transferred and posted as SSP CID SB Jammu, against an available vacancy.
Similarly, Amit Bhasin (JKPS:2001), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as SSP Traffic City Jammu, replacing Farooq Qesor Malik (JKPS:2004). Malik, in turn, has been transferred and posted as SSP Traffic Rural Jammu, vice Girdhari Lal.
In another transfer, Koushal Kumar (JKPS:2008), who was awaiting an order of posting, has been posted as Deputy Commandant, 18 IR Battalion, against an available vacancy.
The order was issued by Chandraker Bharti, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, under the direction of the Lieutenant Governor.
