J&K Govt Warns Officials Defying Transfer Orders, Sets October 27 Deadline

SRINAGAR, Oct 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has issued a strong warning to officers and officials who have failed to report to their new places of posting despite recent transfer orders.

According to a circular issued by the Director General, Accounts and Treasuries, several employees continue to work at their previous postings without authorization, even after being officially transferred.

β€œThe matter has been viewed seriously,” the circular stated, directing all such officials to immediately join their new places of posting by or before October 27, 2025, failing which disciplinary action as per rules will be initiated.
