JK High Court Approves Promotions of Stenographers in Jammu & Kashmir Judiciary
The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has approved the promotion of stenography staff in both Kashmir and Jammu divisions of the District Judiciary.
The promotions have been sanctioned following recommendations by the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) and with the approval of Hon’ble the Chief Justice.

Promotions in Kashmir Division
In the Kashmir Division, Junior Scale Stenographers have been promoted to the posts of P.A.-cum-Senior Scale Stenographers (Executive Assistants) in Pay Level-7 (₹44,900–₹1,42,400).
Additionally, Steno Typists have been promoted to the posts of Junior Scale Stenographers in Pay Level-6 (₹35,600–₹1,12,800).
Promotions in Jammu Division
Similarly, in the Jammu Division, Junior Scale Stenographers have been elevated to P.A.-cum-Senior Scale Stenographers (Executive Assistants) under Pay Level-7.
Steno Typists in this division have also been promoted to Junior Scale Stenographers in Pay Level-6.
Selection Process
These promotions were finalized based on the recommendations of the DPC, ensuring merit and eligibility criteria were properly evaluated. The approval from the Chief Justice confirms the official implementation of these promotions.
