J&K Government Recalls 6 JKAS Officers from Ladakh, Deputes 19 Officers for Two Years

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has recalled six Junior Scale JKAS officers from the Union Territory of Ladakh and placed 19 other JKAS officers at the disposal of the UT of Ladakh on deputation for a period of two years or until further orders.

The orders were issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Jammu and Kashmir, on August 25, 2026, under Government Order No. 1443-JK(GAD) of 2026, in the interest of administration.

Six JKAS Officers Recalled from Ladakh

As per the government order, the services of six Junior Scale JKAS officers currently serving in Ladakh have been recalled.

The officers are:

  • Mohammad Ismail Ganie
  • Imtissal Rasool
  • Sanjat Bhardwaj
  • Atul Singh Mankotia
  • Tufail Iqbal
  • Waseem Ramzan Dar

The recalled officers have been deemed relieved with immediate effect and directed to report to the General Administration Department of Ladakh for further posting.

19 JKAS Officers Deputed to Ladakh

Following the recall, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has placed the services of 19 JKAS officers at the disposal of the UT of Ladakh on deputation with immediate effect.

The officers include:

  • Mohammad Latif, Special Secretary
  • Mohammad Jhangir, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rajouri
  • Mohammad Yousuf Ganaie, DSWO Srinagar
  • Mohammad Rafie, Tehsildar Nagseni
  • Shivam Sharma, BDO Panjgrain
  • Rafaqat Aziz, Functional Manager, DIC Rajouri
  • Ayush Sharma, STO Circle-I Jammu
  • Jasif Amin Sheikh, Functional Manager, DIC Anantnag
  • Zahoor Ahmad Hadi, BDO Bandipora
  • Yassar Ahmad Bhati, Tehsildar Kreeri
  • Saqib Sharief Khan, BDO Samba
  • Bhuvnesh Pargal, STO
  • Deepak Bharti, Tehsildar Jourian
  • Arshad Hussain, BDO Larnoo
  • Mohammad Anjum, State Taxes Officer, Circle N Srinagar
  • Sadam Hussain, BDO Gool

  • Aju Kundal, State Taxes Officer, Circle Kishtwar

Deputation to Continue for Two Years

According to the order, the deputation of the 19 officers will remain effective for two years or until they are recalled, whichever comes earlier.

The officers will retain their lien and promotion prospects with the General Administration Department, Jammu and Kashmir.

The government order further states that the officers deputed to Ladakh will be entitled to any incentives that may subsequently be made available by the UT of Ladakh administration.

Administrative Reshuffle Between J&K and Ladakh

The latest order represents an administrative adjustment involving JKAS officers serving in the Union Territory of Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir. While six officers have been recalled, 19 officers from different administrative and revenue departments of J&K have been deputed to Ladakh.

The move is expected to facilitate the administrative requirements of the UT of Ladakh while ensuring that the officers’ service-related rights, including lien and promotion prospects, remain protected under the J&K General Administration Department.

The order takes effect immediately.
