JKBOPEE Releases Provisional Selection List for B.Ed. Admission 2026; Joining Begins July 31
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has released the Provisional Selection List for admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Course-2026 in various Government Colleges and Institutions across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir following the completion of the first round of online counselling.
The selection list has been issued through Notification No. 128-BOPEE of 2026 dated July 30, 2026, in continuation of Notification No. 068-BOPEE of 2026 dated May 24, 2026. Candidates who participated in the counselling process can now check their provisional allotment status and proceed with the admission formalities within the prescribed schedule.
Admission Schedule
As per the notification, candidates who have been provisionally allotted seats must report to their respective Government Colleges or Institutions for admission between:
- Start Date: July 31, 2026 (11:30 AM onwards)
- Last Date: August 4, 2026 (up to 5:00 PM)
Candidates are advised not to wait until the final day to complete the admission process, as any delay may result in unnecessary complications or loss of the allotted seat.
Download Provisional Allotment Letter
Provisionally selected candidates must first log in to the JKBOPEE portal using their application credentials and download their Provisional Allotment Letter. The allotment letter is mandatory for completing admission formalities at the allotted college or institution.
Documents Required for Admission
Candidates must carry the following original documents at the time of admission:
- Qualifying Marks Certificate (10+2+3).
- Domicile Certificate of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
- For candidates belonging to the Union Territory of Ladakh, the Scheduled Tribe (ST) Certificate issued by the competent authority of Ladakh shall be treated as the Domicile Certificate.
- Category Certificate, wherever applicable.
- Date of Birth (DOB) Certificate.
- Any other document required by the concerned college in accordance with applicable admission rules.
Failure to produce the required original documents may result in cancellation of the provisional allotment.
Eligibility Conditions
JKBOPEE has clarified that the eligibility conditions for admission shall remain the same as those notified earlier in Notification No. 042-BOPEE of 2026 dated March 11, 2026, and the detailed e-Information Brochure available on the official JKBOPEE website.
Candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfill all eligibility requirements before reporting for admission.
Verification of Reserved Category Certificates
The Board has instructed all participating Government Colleges and Institutions to carefully verify the authenticity of documents submitted by candidates, particularly those claiming admission under reserved categories.
According to the notification, the cut-off date for the validity of Category Certificates is March 26, 2026, which was also the last date for submission of online application forms for the B.Ed. entrance process.
Any certificate issued after the prescribed cut-off date may not be considered valid for reservation benefits.
Colleges Directed to Keep Admission Counters Open
To facilitate smooth completion of admissions, JKBOPEE has directed all concerned colleges and institutions to keep their admission counters operational, even on holidays and off-days, until the admission deadline.
The Board emphasized that all admissions must be processed strictly through the JKBOPEE online admission portal within the stipulated timeline.
Important Instructions for Candidates
Candidates are advised to:
- Download the Provisional Allotment Letter immediately.
- Verify all personal and academic details before reporting.
- Carry original documents along with photocopies, if required.
- Reach the allotted institution well before the closing date.
- Complete all admission formalities before 5:00 PM on August 4, 2026.
- Avoid waiting until the last day to prevent technical or procedural issues.
