Kashmir Weather Alert: Rain and Fresh Snowfall Expected in Next 12 Hours
SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Weather Forecast has issued an alert predicting rain over plains and snowfall over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir during the next 12 hours. According to the forecast, several popular tourist destinations and mountain passes are likely to receive fresh snow by tonight.

As per the latest update, light to moderate rain showers are expected in the plains, while higher reaches including Sonamarg, Gulmarg, Doodhpathri, and other elevated areas may witness fresh snowfall during the night. Moderate snowfall is also anticipated over Sinthan Top, Zojila Top, Razdan Top, and Peer ki Gali, making travel through these routes potentially risky during the period.

An official from the Kashmir Weather Forecast said that weather conditions are likely to improve from tomorrow morning onwards, with a prolonged spell of mostly dry weather expected across Jammu and Kashmir till November 18. This shift will bring much-needed relief to residents after recent wet and cold conditions.

According to officials , the upcoming dry spell is expected to stabilize day temperatures and improve visibility across the Valley. Residents have been advised to stay updated with local weather advisories, especially those planning travel along hilly routes during tonight’s snow activity.
