KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns in Kashmir on Feb 10, 11, 14 & 16

SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer of Distribution, Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has announced planned power shutdowns affecting several areas in Jammu and Kashmir due to maintenance on 33 kV and 220 kV transmission lines.

A shutdown of the 33 kV Nowbugh-Nagam and 33 kV Nowbugh-Chadoora lines will impact power supply to Kakawring, Yousmarg, Charar-i-Sharief, Hayatpora, Nagam, Badipora, Hafroo, Loolipora, Watkaloo, Gogjipathri, Ranger, Sogam, Repora, Dawlatpora, Panzan, Lalgam, Chadoora, Wathoora, Bugam, Gadsathoo, Kathairgund, and adjoining areas from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on February 14 and 16, 2026.

Similarly, the 220 kV Zainakote-Alusteng Circuit-I shutdown will affect Wussan, Safapora, Kangan, Lal Bazar, BAMK, Hazratbal, Ellahibagh, Lar-Tullmulla, Ajar, Aloosa, Gurez, Zakura, Nagbal, and neighbouring areas from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM on February 10, 2026.

Additionally, the 220 kV Amargarh-Zainakote-Circuit-II shutdown on 11 February 2026, and Circuit-I on February 14, 2026, both from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM, will disrupt electricity supply to Bemina, JVC Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Tengpora, Lower Court, Rakh-i-Arth, Narkara, Fatehkadal, Khayam, Barbarshah, Kawdara, Mughal Masjid, Wanganpora, Safakadal, Takanwari, Zoonimar, Soura, Shariefabad, Soibugh, Wadwan, Zainakote, Shalteng, Bakshipora, Noora Hospital, Kawoosa Hospital, Narbal, Sanoor, Mazhama Railway, Pattan, MES, Palahallan, Hamray, Mulgam, Kulhama, Nihalpora, Singhpora, Mirgund, Shadipora, Tangmarg, and surrounding areas.

Authorities have advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the outage periods.
